Free DeepSeek Watermark Remover

DeepSeek has announced no text watermark in the words themselves; as reported by the tech press (we could not open the notice itself), its notice of 1 September 2025 says its AI-generated content carries visible labels and hidden markers stored in file metadata, as Chinese rules require, and metadata is not part of the text you paste, so there is no DeepSeek marker in pasted text for this page to remove. What it does is show and remove the invisible characters and odd spaces in a paste, such as an ideographic space that slipped into an English sentence, while leaving characters that do a spelling job alone. It runs entirely in your browser: no upload, no account, no limit, and your visible words come back as they were.

Cleaning happens in your browser: that text never leaves this page, and there is no upload, no account and no limit. Rewrite is the exception: that one sends your text to our server.

What a DeepSeek paste contains

What the cleaner did with a DeepSeek-style paste

We ran this page's cleaner on a mixed line: a Chinese label with a full-width colon, an ideographic space, an inline LaTeX formula and a full-width comma.

Found by the cleanerCountAfter cleaning
Ideographic Space (U+3000)1an ordinary space
Full-width colon and comma (U+FF1A, U+FF0C)not countedleft as they were
LaTeX \\( x = 4 \\)not countedleft as it was

One change, and the formula and the punctuation untouched: a character cleanup, not a rewrite. This was a test string we wrote to match that pattern, not a captured reply; the counts are what this page's own cleaner reported when we ran it on 2 October 2026.

Is there a DeepSeek watermark?

Not a word-choice one: there is no DeepSeek watermarking scheme of that kind on the public record; its notice describes visible labels and hidden markers in file metadata. China's rules on labelling AI-generated content, in force since 1 September 2025, require visible labels and labels in file metadata, not hidden characters inside running text. So how to remove a DeepSeek watermark from text comes down to the cleanup above; there is no deeper mark for a character cleaner to reach or to miss. If DeepSeek ever adds a statistical one, like Google's SynthID, no cleaner will touch it; statistical watermarks are not made of characters, so no character cleaner reaches them.

Useful when you are pasting into code

A zero-width space or a stray ideographic space inside an identifier is invisible in your editor and breaks the build with an error that points nowhere. Pasting a whole reply, prose and code together, and cleaning it once is exactly the case this tool was built for, and the same goes for text from a PDF or a web page. It does it free, without an account, as a plain AI text cleaner rather than a DeepSeek watermark remover in any deeper sense.

All assistants, one tool

The cleaner is the same on every page: it matches characters, not sources. See the full list of what it removes.

Questions

Does this remove a DeepSeek watermark from my text?

DeepSeek has announced no word-choice text watermark that this page could remove. It removes the invisible characters and odd spaces that come along in a paste, and optionally straightens quotes and dashes, without touching your words. The separate Rewrite button is a writing aid, not a way around detection.

Is my text uploaded anywhere?

The cleaner runs entirely in your browser: that text never leaves the page, there is no account, and there is no limit on how much you clean. The separate Rewrite button is the one exception: it sends your text to our server, which passes it to Anthropic, whose AI model rewrites it. Only Anthropic receives it, to rewrite it, and Anthropic does not train its models on it. We keep no copy of your text or the rewrite.

Why does my text break my CMS or code editor?

Invisible characters survive a copy-paste but are not what they look like. A zero-width space inside a variable name breaks the code, a non-breaking space breaks a search, and a smart quote breaks a string literal. Nothing looks wrong on screen, which is what makes it hard to find.

What this tool cannot remove

It removes named invisible characters (Unicode ), turns space variants into an ordinary space and, if you leave the option on, makes typographic replacements. It also clears the three private-use ranges, including the tag range U+E0000: U+E007F, and it treats text from a PDF, Word or a web page exactly like text from an assistant. It cannot touch statistical watermarks such as Google's SynthID, which live in the choice of words, not in any character, so no character cleaner can. DeepSeek has announced no word-choice watermark for its text, so for pasted text there is nothing beyond characters to talk about.
